About Juliette

For much of my life, I was trying to solve a puzzle that never quite made sense.

Why do people understand their problems and still feel stuck? Why does insight sometimes bring relief but not real change? Why do certain patterns keep repeating even when someone desperately wants something different?

Over years of clinical work, study, and my own winding healing journey, I began to see something that traditional explanations often miss: the self behaves less like a single thing and more like a living system. When that system is strained or fragmented, symptoms appear. Anxiety, addiction, emotional overwhelm, relational conflict, loss of meaning. These experiences often look like isolated problems, but they are usually signals of imbalance within the larger system of identity.

This realization eventually became the foundation for the Suma Method, a systems-based framework for understanding identity, healing, and personal growth.

The Suma Method organizes the self into six interacting domains: physical, emotional, intellectual, relational, spiritual, and purposeful. Rather than trying to remove symptoms directly, the method focuses on strengthening and rebalancing the system so that those symptoms become unnecessary. In practice, this work begins gently. Stabilizing the system. Reducing harm. Increasing well-being and emotional capacity. Only then do we map the deeper architecture of identity and begin the work of intentional rebalancing and growth.

My work draws from psychology, systems thinking, trauma research, and philosophy, but it is grounded above all in a simple observation: human beings are remarkably adaptive. The patterns that cause suffering today often began as intelligent attempts to survive yesterday.

When we understand the system clearly, compassion replaces shame. Curiosity replaces self-blame. And change becomes possible.

I write about these ideas because I believe people deserve frameworks that help them make sense of their lives — not as broken individuals, but as complex systems learning, adapting, and growing over time.

The goal is not perfection.

It is integration.
